Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) - سورة البقرة

وَمِنْ حَيْثُ خَرَجْتَ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ ۚ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَيْكُمْ حُجَّةٌ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِي وَلِأُتِمَّ نِعْمَتِي عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ
Sahih International
And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it in order that the people will not have any argument against you, except for those of them who commit wrong; so fear them not but fear Me. And [it is] so I may complete My favor upon you and that you may be guided.Urdu
اور جس جگہ سے آپ نکلیں اپنا منھ مسجد حرام کی طرف پھیر لیں اور جہاں کہیں تم ہو اپنے چہرے اسی طرف کیا کرو تاکہ لوگوں کی کوئی حجت تم پر باقی نہ ره جائے سوائے ان لوگوں کے جنہوں نے ان میں سے ﻇلم کیا ہے تم ان سے نہ ڈرو مجھ ہی سے ڈرو اور تاکہ میں اپنی نعمت تم پر پوری کروں اور اس لئے بھی کہ تم راه راست پاؤكَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا فِيكُمْ رَسُولًا مِّنكُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِنَا وَيُزَكِّيكُمْ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُعَلِّمُكُم مَّا لَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْلَمُونَ
Sahih International
Just as We have sent among you a messenger from yourselves reciting to you Our verses and purifying you and teaching you the Book and wisdom and teaching you that which you did not know.Urdu
جس طرح ہم نے تم میں تمہی میں سے رسول بھیجا جو ہماری آیتیں تمہارے سامنے تلاوت کرتا ہے اور تمہیں پاک کرتا ہے اور تمہیں کتاب وحکمت اور وه چیزیں سکھاتا ہے جن سے تم بےعلم تھےفَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ
Sahih International
So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.Urdu
اس لئے تم میرا ذکر کرو، میں بھی تمہیں یاد کروں گا، میری شکر گزاری کرو اور ناشکری سے بچويَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
Sahih International
O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.Urdu
اے ایمان والو! صبر اور نماز کے ذریعہ مدد چاہو، اللہ تعالی صبر والوں کا ساتھ دیتا ہےوَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتٌ ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُونَ
Sahih International
And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah , "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.Urdu
اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی راه کے شہیدوں کو مرده مت کہو وه زنده ہیں، لیکن تم نہیں سمجھتےوَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوْفِ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ
Sahih International
And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,Urdu
اور ہم کسی نہ کسی طرح تمہاری آزمائش ضرور کریں گے، دشمن کے ڈر سے، بھوک پیاس سے، مال وجان اور پھلوں کی کمی سے اور ان صبر کرنے والوں کو خوشخبری دے دیجیئےالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Sahih International
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allah , and indeed to Him we will return."Urdu
جنہیں، جب کبھی کوئی مصیبت آتی ہے تو کہہ دیا کرتے ہیں کہ ہم تو خود اللہ تعالیٰ کی ملکیت ہیں اور ہم اسی کی طرف لوٹنے والے ہیںأُولَٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَاتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُهْتَدُونَ
Sahih International
Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.Urdu
ان پر ان کے رب کی نوازشیں اور رحمتیں ہیں اور یہی لوگ ہدایت یافتہ ہیںإِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا ۚ وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
Sahih International
Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah . So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.Urdu
صفااور مروه اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیوں میں سے ہیں، اس لئے بیت اللہ کا حج وعمره کرنے والے پر ان کا طواف کرلینے میں بھی کوئی گناه نہیں اپنی خوشی سے بھلائی کرنے والوں کا اللہ قدردان ہے اور انہیں خوب جاننے واﻻ ہےإِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَىٰ مِن بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَابِ ۙ أُولَٰئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ
Sahih International
Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture - those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse,Urdu
جو لوگ ہماری اتاری ہوئی دلیلوں اور ہدایت کو چھپاتے ہیں باوجودیکہ ہم اسے اپنی کتاب میں لوگوں کے لئے بیان کرچکے ہیں، ان لوگوں پر اللہ کی اور تمام لعنت کرنے والوں کی لعنت ہےإِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا وَأَصْلَحُوا وَبَيَّنُوا فَأُولَٰئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَأَنَا التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Sahih International
Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.Urdu
مگر وه لوگ جو توبہ کرلیں اور اصلاح کرلیں اور بیان کردیں، تو میں ان کی توبہ قبول کرلیتا ہوں اور میں توبہ قبول کرنے واﻻ اور رحم وکرم کرنے واﻻ ہوںإِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Sahih International
Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers - upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together,Urdu
یقیناً جو کفار اپنے کفر میں ہی مرجائیں، ان پر اللہ تعالیٰ کی، فرشتوں کی اور تمام لوگوں کی لعنت ہےخَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۖ لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ
Sahih International
Abiding eternally therein. The punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be reprieved.Urdu
جس میں یہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے، نہ ان سے عذاب ہلکا کیا جائے گا اور نہ انہیں ڈھیل دی جائے گیوَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ ۖ لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ
Sahih International
And your god is one God. There is no deity [worthy of worship] except Him, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.Urdu
تم سب کا معبود ایک ہی معبود ہے، اس کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں وه بہت رحم کرنے واﻻ اور بڑا مہربان ہےإِنَّ فِي خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَالْفُلْكِ الَّتِي تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ النَّاسَ وَمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِن مَّاءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ وَالسَّحَابِ الْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ
Sahih International
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason.Urdu
آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش، رات دن کا ہیر پھیر، کشتیوں کا لوگوں کو نفع دینے والی چیزوں کو لئے ہوئے سمندروں میں چلنا، آسمان سے پانی اتار کر، مرده زمین کو زنده کردینا، اس میں ہر قسم کے جانوروں کو پھیلا دینا، ہواؤں کے رخ بدلنا، اور بادل، جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان مسخر ہیں، ان میں عقلمندوں کے لئے قدرت الٰہی کی نشانیاں ہیںوَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَندَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلَّهِ ۗ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا إِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ أَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعَذَابِ
Sahih International
And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allah as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allah . But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah . And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is severe in punishment.Urdu
بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ کے شریک اوروں کو ٹھہرا کر ان سے ایسی محبت رکھتے ہیں، جیسی محبت اللہ سے ہونی چاہیئے اور ایمان والے اللہ کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہوتے ہیں کاش کہ مشرک لوگ جانتے جب کہ اللہ کے عذاب کو دیکھ کر (جان لیں گے) کہ تمام طاقت اللہ ہی کو ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سخت عذاب دینے واﻻ ہے (تو ہرگز شرک نہ کرتے)إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ الَّذِينَ اتُّبِعُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ الْأَسْبَابُ
Sahih International
[And they should consider that] when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship],Urdu
جس وقت پیشوا لوگ اپنے تابعداروں سے بیزار ہوجائیں گے اور عذاب کو اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ لیں گے اور کل رشتے ناتے ٹوٹ جائیں گےوَقَالَ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوا لَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ كَمَا تَبَرَّءُوا مِنَّا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ حَسَرَاتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۖ وَمَا هُم بِخَارِجِينَ مِنَ النَّارِ
Sahih International
Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire.Urdu
اور تابعدار لوگ کہنے لگیں گے، کاش ہم دنیا کی طرف دوباره جائیں تو ہم بھی ان سے ایسے ہی بیزار ہوجائیں جیسے یہ ہم سے ہیں، اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ انہیں ان کے اعمال دکھائے گا ان کو حسرت دﻻنے کو، یہ ہرگز جہنم سے نہ نکلیں گےيَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُوا مِمَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
Sahih International
O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.Urdu
لوگو! زمین میں جتنی بھی حلال اور پاکیزه چیزیں ہیں انہیں کھاؤ پیو اور شیطانی راه پر نہ چلو، وه تمہارا کھلا ہوا دشمن ہے
