Surat Al-'Anfāl
Sahih International
"That [is yours], so taste it." And indeed for the disbelievers is the punishment of the Fire.Muhsin Khan
This is the torment, so taste it, and surely for the disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.
Pickthall
That (is the award), so taste it, and (know) that for disbelievers is the torment of the Fire.Dr. Ghali

O you who have believed, when you meet those who disbelieve advancing [for battle], do not turn to them your backs [in flight].Muhsin Khan
O you who believe! When you meet those who disbelieve, in a battle-field, never turn your backs to them.
Pickthall
O ye who believe! When ye meet those who disbelieve in battle, turn not your backs to them.Shakir
O you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them.Dr. Ghali

That [is so], and [also] that Allah will weaken the plot of the disbelievers.Muhsin Khan
This (is the fact) and surely, Allah weakens the deceitful plots of the disbelievers.

Verily! The worst of (moving) living creatures with Allah are the deaf and the dumb, those who understand not (i.e. the disbelievers).

And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.Muhsin Khan
And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad SAW) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from your home, i.e. Makkah); they were plotting and Allah too was planning, and Allah is the Best of the planners.

And when those who disbelieve plot against thee (O Muhammad) to wound thee fatally, or to kill thee or to drive thee forth; they plot, but Allah (also) plotteth; and Allah is the best of plotters.Shakir

And their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclapping. So taste the punishment for what you disbelieved.Sahih International
Their Salat (prayer) at the House (of Allah, i.e. the Ka'bah at Makkah) was nothing but whistling and clapping of hands. Therefore taste the punishment because you used to disbelieve.
Muhsin Khan
And their worship at the (holy) House is naught but whistling and hand-clapping. Therefore (it is said unto them): Taste of the doom because ye disbelieve.Pickthall
And their prayer before the House is nothing but whistling and clapping of hands; taste then the chastisement, for you disbelieved.Shakir

Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [ ... overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be ... Muhsin Khan
Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder ( ... be overcomed. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto Hell.

Lo! those who disbelieve spend their wealth in order that they may debar (men) from the way of Allah. They will spend it, then it will become an anguish for them, then they will be conquered. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto hell,Shakir
Surely those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (people) from the way of Allah; so they shall spend it, then it shall be to them an intense regret, then they shall be overcome; and those who disbelieve shall be driven together to hell.Dr. Ghali

Say to those who have disbelieved [that] if they cease, what ... Muhsin Khan
Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven. But if they return (thereto), then the examples of those (punished) before them have already preceded (as a warning).

Tell those who disbelieve that if they cease (from persecution of believers) that which is past will be forgiven them; but if they return (thereto) then the example of the men of old hath already gone (before them, for a warning).Shakir

And if you could see when the angels take away the souls of those who disbelieve (at death), they smite their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the punishment of the blazing Fire."

If thou couldst see how the angels receive those who disbelieve, smiting faces and their backs and (saying): Taste the punishment of burning!Shakir

[Theirs is] like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and of those before them. They disbelieved in the signs of Allah , so Allah seized them for their sins. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and severe in penalty.Pickthall
(Their way is) as the way of Pharaoh's folk and those before them; they disbelieved the revelations of Allah, and Allah took them in their sins. Lo! Allah is Strong, severe in punishment.Shakir

Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are those who have disbelieved, and they will not [ever] believe -Muhsin Khan
Verily, The worst of moving (living) creatures before Allah are those who disbelieve, - so they shall not believe.

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe.Dr. Ghali

And let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah ].Muhsin Khan

Freedom from (all) obligations (is declared) from Allah and His Messenger (SAW) to those of the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), with whom you made a treaty.

So travel freely, [O disbelievers], throughout the land [during] four months but know that you cannot cause failure to Allah and that Allah will disgrace the disbelievers.Muhsin Khan
So travel freely (O Mushrikun - see V.2:105) for four months (as you will) throughout the land, but know that you cannot escape (from the Punishment of) Allah, and Allah will disgrace the disbelievers.

Travel freely in the land four months, and know that ye cannot escape Allah and that Allah will confound the disbelievers (in His Guidance).Dr. Ghali
